Drew Holland explained the process of
selecting scholarship recipients. He and his committee
which included Tate Simpson, Janice Lamattina, Mark
Podlin, Beverly Trainor, and Stan Kyker reviewed 29
applications this year. They selected 12 students for
the final interview on Tuesday, May 2nd. The
interview committee including Mark Podlin, Gary
Schwartz, Chip Lewis, Beverly Trainor, Becky Farrow, and
Bob Moeller spent 5-1/2 hours with Drew interviewing the
12 students and determining the winners. Each of the
winners will receive $3000 per year for up to 4 years.
The typical outlay per year for all scholarship students
is $35 – 40K.
